What do you expect?
This is a question that can be taken at least a couple of ways. It can carry the connotation of great
expectation, great dreams and vision—WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
…or, it can carry the connotation of little or no expectation—such as, ‘we’re just a little fish in the pond, what do you expect?’ Our expectation depends on what or who we’re looking at—what we believe, and what we choose to dwell on. Are our eyes on us or our circumstances? Or, are our eyes on our powerful God?
Life can be boring or very discouraging, especially if we have little or no expectation. We’re blown here and there by life’s circumstances, and we see negative circumstances as never ending.
However, if we have the expectation of a powerful God at work, we see negative circumstances as temporary, problems as opportunities for God to show Himself, and we carry the expectation of great things ahead.
Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish
infinitely more than we might ask or think. So…what do you expect today?
