![]() The video seemed to say it all. The trainer took a wild stallion and was able to get a rope around it to contain the wild, kicking, bucking horse. After a while, with a rope also around one of its legs, the trainer was able to gently pull on the horse, to get it to the ground. The trainer slowly walked up to the horse, bent down to caress its neck and spoke softly to the horse—calming it and assuring it he meant no harm. The breaking process was in full swing. Likewise, God, our Master-Trainer seeks to catch us and break us. Otherwise, we’re not useful to Him. The more we resist, the more we struggle, the more exhausted we will be. Life can be overwhelming, and if left to ourselves, we tend to do a lot of running around, without accomplishing much that matters. A horse that is broken does not lose its power, its strength, or its abilities. All that is just harnessed so that it can be guided into the right direction for usefulness. It is wise to allow the Lord to have His way with us, that we become the most useful to Him in His kingdom. What God can do for you and through you is much more tha we can do ourselves. Don’t settle for little, when with God we can experience much!
