As I began to read the gospel of Mark again, I noticed something..the more miracles Jesus' performed, the crowds grew larger. It was a good thing Jesus had been training some disciples, because they were needed. Likewise, I feel the need to train disciples to prepare for the harvest that God is going to send.
We're expecting an increase from the Lord of the Harvest! For the next few weeks I will be teaching followers of Christ how to lead someone to the Lord and how to disciple them. Serious believers will become part of the end-time harvest that God is preparing. Thank you Delphi First Assembly for making yourself available to others for this eternal work.
For those of you who do not attend Delphi First Assembly, check out the message from our church website, www.delphifirst.org. You want to be ready in your church too. Tell your pastor you want to enlist in the Lord's end-time army with him/her, and you are ready to co-labor for Christ!
“I threw my left leg across Brother Silver. I laid my left hand on his chest, my right hand on his head, and I screamed loudly, ‘I command you to come back to earth from the dead now in Jesus’ Name!’” Brother Silver, a retired attorney had been pronounced dead moments earlier, but through prayer came back to life and lived another five years. This is one of the many stories of Tommy Welchel, the last living link to the Azusa Street Revival.
Sixty years after the Azusa Street Revival, Tommy, a teenager, was saved under the ministry of the people who were in that revival. He spent nearly six years with them as they poured out their stories to him, taught him how to minister, and prayed that God would impart to him the anointing that they had received and walked in for the last 60 years. Since then, Tommy has been telling the stories and seeing a continuation of miracles.
This coming Sunday, January 11, 2015, Tommy will minister at both the 9:30am and 6pm services at Delphi First Assembly of God Church.
