Church History

In 1990 a new vision was born in Delphi, Indiana.  Although it was a city of many churches, Pastor Brent and Tammy Oliver heard and responded to God’s call to plant a church to fill specific needs.  Beginning in a small dance studio in downtown Delphi, the church has progressed through several building programs to become the church you now see ministering to over 300 individuals.

But Delphi First has always been about much more than a building or numbers—it’s about the people.  Our reason-for-being is to build people spiritually through the power of the cross of Christ.  This is accomplished through vibrant worship, Bible-based teaching and preaching, caring relationships, specialized ministries, and most importantly, prayer.
